The Summoner of Ancient Creatures was rather cute, as far as demons go. Traditionally she walked between the realms of night and shade, enlisting the darkest of creatures to her bidding; however, she had recently ventured into the world of light and was delighted that these creatures also obeyed her unquestioningly. She enjoyed the irony of an army of ill luck made of the purest of souls, but Étolo, the star demon, would not approve. She could picture his face now, the questing deep blue eyes and pearlescent, pale skin, often set with a mischievous grin. Utterly un-demon-like really, what kind of demon could creep in the shadows being that reflective? Any proper demon, she thought, would have magic like mine that sucks all the light out of you. On the other hand, this seemed to have been less effective in the world of light. Everywhere she went, she was followed by annoying luminescent fungi. Where did they come from? Its not as if they were actually doing anything to annoy her, but its difficult to be incognito with them sprouting up everywhere. And the way they just sat there, glowing smugly! She wasnt sure how they managed to be so smug, they just were. It was kind of ominous...
-- I think this is the quickest and most enjoyable painting I've done so far. Took about a week and a half overall. Details here. Photoshop elements 3 and tablet |
